An org account for the company.

An organization is your team's home in sweetdocs. Members live here, libraries live here, billing lives here, the audit log records everything that happens here.

Member

Invite by email or domain. New members land in the org with the right role.

What it actually does.

The pieces of organizations that matter, in plain English.

ROLES

Owner, Admin, Member.

Owner controls billing and can delete the org. Admin can manage members, libraries, and settings (but not billing). Member can read and write according to library permissions. Anyone can be promoted or demoted at any time.

DOMAIN

Auto-join from your email domain.

Turn on Domain capture for @acme.co, and new sweetdocs sign-ups from any @acme.co email land in your org as Members automatically. No invite link to send around, no one falling through the cracks.

AUDIT

Every action, every member.

The audit log records: who joined, who left, who was promoted, who shared what, who exported, who deleted. Filter by member, action, or date. Export to CSV for compliance.

SCIM

SSO + SCIM on the Teams roadmap.

SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning are planned for the Teams plan so member lifecycle (join, leave, role changes) follows your identity provider. Not shipped yet — email sales for the current status.

Who uses it for what.

Real situations this solves.

Founder

"I want one place where all the docs the company writes actually live."

Create an org, invite the team, every doc you make is in the org. No more "is this in your account or mine?"

Ops lead

"I want new hires getting access to our docs the moment they have email."

Domain capture on. New @acme.co employee signs up, they are already in the org with the right libraries available.

Compliance

"I need a record of who saw, edited, or exported the M&A doc."

Audit log filtered to that doc, exported as CSV. Every read, every edit, every export, with member name + timestamp.

IT admin

"I want SSO and automatic offboarding when someone leaves the company."

SAML + SCIM are on the Teams roadmap. Today: domain capture auto-adds joiners, and removing a member revokes access immediately.

Questions worth asking.

The things people ask before they try it.

What's the difference between an org and a personal account?
Personal is one user, their own libraries and billing. An org is a shared container where multiple members work in the same libraries with shared billing. You can have both — your personal account, plus membership in one or more orgs.
Can I be in more than one org?
Yes. The sidebar has a switcher at the top to move between your personal libraries and any orgs you belong to.
How does domain capture work?
Turn it on for your org, verify the @acme.co domain via a DNS TXT record (one-time). After that, any new sweetdocs sign-up using @acme.co joins the org as a Member by default.
What happens to a Member's docs when they leave?
Org-owned docs stay with the org. The departing member loses access immediately. Personal docs they wrote in their personal library go with them.
Can I move a personal doc into the org?
Yes. Right-click the doc, Move to library, pick the org library. Sharing and history move with it.
Is there a free tier for orgs?
Orgs are part of the Teams plan. The Free and Pro plans are single-user (with email-based sharing). Teams gives you the org container, shared libraries, and centralized billing.

The other five.

Writing

A fast, calm place to write.

The editor doesn't get in the way. Headings, bullets, links, quotes. They just work. No toolbar circus, no setup. It looks like a real document while you write it.
